... "third book, in the twentieth year, on the fourteenth" ... would be very, very close. These types of inscriptions are common throughout the Roman world. They are on monuments, in manuscripts, etc and tend to confuse me at times. Many archaeologists deal with this kind of thing more often that linguists. When I encounter something like this I do my best to "blank out" the part that is confusing and attempt to understand the rest of it. Later, when I have a clearer understanding, I "fill the blank" and continue.

"multa bene" means "quite well" and "goes with" the verb "egerat". (... who had done quite well in Hispania ((Spain)) ).

The administrative record keeping was very detailed and precise for the Romans most of the time. It was part of their air of officiality and, some would say, smug arrogance.

And about the macrons. Those, and all other translation aids we see in the beginning textbooks, are artificial. They were not used in Roman days as they were not needed. They were and are used today to assist beginning students as well as those who study the language a great deal.

At any rate, enjoy learning and using the language. It can be quite an adventure.

I have the 80mm fan simply glued on top of my heat sink right in the middle using some of the regular epoxy. Just cut the power wires, strip them and plug them into the power plug where the lights are. The 15V will make the fan run quick, so it'll get loud and it'll kill the fan early. Cut the power wires to the fan again and put a 1W 30ohm resistor in both of the power wires so it doesn't blow up and so its not so loud... This works great to quiet the fan and make it last longer.

as long as the toggle switch is rated for the amps used, it will be fine.

Check the amperage of the 12v led strip light, if you can. If they are rated as Watts, then use this formula

Amps =watts divided by volts.....so a 30 watt led strip 12v would be 30 divided by 12 volts, or 2.5 amps.

Watts = volts times amps....so a 12 volt light at 2.5 amps, would be 30 watts..

But most strip lights are low wattage, and most toggle waterproof led strip light switches can handle at least 20 amps, or 240 watts, so you can put many on there.

If for instance, the lights are 2 amps each, and the toggle will handle 20 amps, (240 watts) you can use 10 lights.

Hope this helped.
